The Football Transfer Tavern has just received some fresh speculation as talkSPORT report that long-term Liverpool target Juan Iturbe has admitted that he wants to join Juventus in the future.
The 20-year-old has often been brilliant on-loan at Hellas Verona in Serie A this season, and the Porto youngster has now unsurprisingly attracted attention from Europe’s big guns.
The publication indicates that Roma, and an unnamed club in the Champions League, are trying to win his services but interest from the Premier League is what brings it to our punters attention.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has reportedly targeted the youngster as he continues to stock-pile some of the finest and most promising talent from around Europe.
The Argentine attacker, who memorably scored four goals in one game against AC Milan earlier this term, is uncertain whether his parent club will try to sell him in the summer, but concedes that Juventus would be his choice of destination.
He said: “I do not know anything about my future. Certainly Juventus are a real team, the strongest in Italy, and who would not [want to play there]?”
Iturbe would be available in the summer when he returns to Porto and could be valued at around £15million.
