There is a slight shock here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed that Liverpool could well be set to miss out on Thomas Ince according to the Daily Mail.
The Reds have had a long standing interest in the young star previously on the youth books on Merseyside of course and have been sniffing around the player for a considerable amount of time.
Ince himself made it clear just how disappointed he was when a proposed January move to Anfield fell through and despite focusing on helping Blackpool for the remainder of the 2012/13 season, he made it clear that his future lies elsewhere and more specifically, in the Premier League.
Now it seems that newly promoted Cardiff City have made a mega bid in the region of £8 million for the player and Blackpool look like they are set accept the bid for one of their best players. The Seasiders have of course faced rumours over the future of the players’ father and manager Paul Ince in recent weeks and this just looks to be the latest in a long line of issues for the Tangerines.
Liverpool meanwhile are looking to boost their summer transfer acquisitions and are still in the dark over the future of Luis Suarez with several clubs still chasing the star forward.
Is Thomas Ince worth £8 million? Should Liverpool have pushed harder to sign him? Let us know your thoughts below.
