Metro have both Liverpool and Arsenal fans eagerly moving over to our landlord for more details here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they report that Daniel Alves has claimed this will be his last season with Barcelona.
Not only that but he is determined to move to the Premier League as well and experience life in the top flight of English football.
The Brazilian international right back claimed: “Next year I’m moving to England. I’m going to play at the home of football.
“This will be my last season at the club.”
As our regulars note over a game of pool and some chicken wings courtesy of our rather generous landlord, they note that this will not only place Liverpool and Manchester United on red alert but it will also interest a fair few clubs around Europe.
After Alves’ comments, European giants may well hold out hope that they can convince Alves that his future belongs not in England but with them instead.
What does seem clear to see is the fact that Alves will be finally leaving Barcelona after a couple of summers of uncertainly and our Reds fans in the tavern hope to be at the front of the queue when it comes to landing the former Sevilla man.
Liverpool fans. Replacing Glen Johnson with Daniel Alves sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? How much do you want to bring the Brazilian to Anfield? Let us know your thoughts below.
