Liverpool fans have been on top of the world all week in the Football Transfer Tavern with their team sitting top of the Premier League, but sources at Metro reckon they have a bit of transfer news that will disappoint Reds fans.
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore has been linked with a move to Anfield for some time, and showed exactly what he is capable of doing to English opposition with an excellent third goal during the 3-1 win over Chelsea on Wednesday evening.
But according to the players agent Marco Simonian, Pastore has no desire to leave the French capital, despite often struggling to hold down a regular first team place in their star studded line up.
“He feels good with his team-mates and the staff and works every day to keep playing for PSG. He thinks only of PSG, and I can assure you that this is the truth,” Simonian told Le Parisien.
The 24-year-old Argentine has only managed 12 league starts under manager Laurent Blanc this season, and was heavily tipped to leave the Parc Des Princes in January, however a move never materialised.
Liverpool fans. Do you think Pastore is the calibre of player required at Anfield this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
