Liverpool fans cannot wait to hear what Metro have to say in the Football Transfer Tavern after the publication claimed that the Reds were given the green light to move for a top transfer target.
Brendan Rodgers is keen on Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casilla who is shining so brightly in La Liga that he has received a call up to the Spanish national side and is challenging for the number one shirt with Iker Casillas and Manchester United’s David De Gea.
As one of our punters notes, we know that the Reds and their boss Brendan Rodgers are keen to bring in a goalkeeper that can challenge for the number one shirt with Simon Migonlet, and for £8 million, that could well be Casilla.
Speaking to Spanish publication AS, the stopper claimed: “I’ve not had a call from anyone at Liverpool yet.
“Espanyol are like most Spanish clubs – they need money – and if my departure happens, it’s because Espanyol needs the money.
“When the bids happen, if it happens, we will value it and decide what happens.”
