Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are relieved to hear that Brendan Rodgers has learnt from this season’s nightmare situation in front of goal as Metro revealed that he is eyeing up a move for Juventus youngster Alvaro Morata to join the ranks at Anfield.
The Reds struggled massively whilst Daniel Sturridge was injured, with Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert struggling to make an impact and Mario Balotelli being in the spotlight for his bad performances as well as his off the field antics.
But Rodgers has learnt the hard way since losing Luis Suarez last season and it looks as though it is all coming together now, with the return of Sturridge and introduction of Jordan Ibe to the team.
On Sunday they proved that they could defend, with their 2-0 win over Southampton, after being branded as a side in previous months whose defence is dodgy and cannot cope once put under pressure.
Although, punters in the Tavern would like to warn Rodgers that he must be wary of having too many strikers and that he must offload current players, whilst he brings in reinforcements.
Because, he must remember that he also has Divock Origi returning to the club following his loan spell with Lille, and he will not be content with sitting on the bench.
