Liverpool target Real Madrid star as fourth summer signing

Isco It seems that Liverpool are on a roll this summer and despite selling their prized asset, one of our punters in the Football Transfer Tavern notes that according to Metro, they are keen on a Real Madrid star.

The player who has caught the eye of Brendan Rodgers seems to be Isco, who at 22 years of age still has his whole future ahead of him.

After struggling to make an impact at the Bernabeu in his debut season last term, we think he could well be set for a transfer elsewhere.

Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers for the creative star but given Isco is contracted to the Champions League winners until 2018, he will not be sidelined and farmed out on loan.

After being linked with a loan move to Sevilla for the season, he took to his Twitter account to deny the rumours claiming they were ‘all lies’ but we think a permanent move could be on the cards.

The chance to move to Liverpool, develop his career and be a star man once again following his distinguished time at Malaga may be enough to convince Isco to make the switch.

If Isco made the switch to Merseyside, he would become the fifth Liverpool addition of the summer after Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can joined the Reds. QPR’s Loic Remy is expected to join imminently also.

Liverpool fans. Would this make up for losing Luis Suarez this summer or is it just paper talk? Let us know your thoughts below.
