Liverpool target Ryad Boudebouz has stated his intent to leave Ligue 1 club Sochaux in the summer thereby alerting Liverpool to his availability.
The 22-year-old Algerian attacking midfield player told L’Equipe he would consider remaining at Sochaux if the club can avoid the drop, but that he was ready to listen to offers.
“If it is necessary to move abroad, I will”.
French powerhouse Lyon are also said to be interested in Boudebouz which he describes as flattering but he understands the better opportunity may await if he is willing to leave France.
The Metro claim Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish will be presented with a pretty low tranfer budget this summer after the spending exploits of the summer past and they claim this sum could be as low as £20m.
This would end their interest in players such as Iker Munian of Athletic Bilbao who Dalglish is thought to rate very highly following his performances against Manchester United in the Europa League. Therefore, a move for Boudebouz is more realistic for the Scouse club this summer as he would add an attacking option to the side but will hardly get the Liverpool faithful flocking to the club shop for merchandise.
He has scored 19 times in 120+ games for Sochaux and has only scored once for the Algeria national team. A good signing, maybe. An exciting signing, definately not.
