Liverpool’s transfer policy has changed over the last year or two, and it’s certainly been for the better. Gone are the days of quantity over quality, and that have been replaced by the focus on securing some of the best talent in Europe instead.
The likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have moved to Anfield in recent years, and that’s been very good for the Reds, as their form has improved alongside that.
Now, though, the Reds are apparently on the trail of another world-renowned name. Roma goalkeeper Alisson, Brazil’s first choice shot-stopper, is apparently a key target for the club, with a bid already made by the club.
Certainly, a move for Alisson would be one of huge potential for Liverpool, and he would be an upgrade on Jurgen Klopp’s current options – but is he the best man for the job?
After all, he lacks Premier League experience, and in truth, he’s only really had one season of genuinely world-class form.
Perhaps, then, Liverpool should target 1 of these 2 players instead…
