Liverpool team news: Henderson available as Klopp prepares for Burnley trip

Liverpool will travel to Turf Moor on Wednesday night and face Burnley as they look to continue their title chase.

The Anfield outfit managed to grab the three points against Everton at the weekend in the Merseyside derby with a last-minute goal.

However, Manchester City continued their own winning ways on Tuesday when they defeated Watford to increase the gap at the top of the Premier League to five points.

Jurgen Klopp will want to see his team continue their winning ways and, according to the club’s official website, he will have received a timely boost ahead of the trip to Turf Moor.

Jordan Henderson is available for Liverpool as he completed his suspension after he was shown a red card in their win against Watford.

However, Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson are both doubts for the trip with the duo suffering from knocks they picked up in Sunday’s win against Everton.

The Verdict:

Having Henderson available will be a huge boost to Klopp as he has become a favourite with the manager.

The England international, who is valued at £25.2million by Transfermarkt, has come in for some criticism from his own fans in the past, but the German manager is keen to keep on using him in his first-team.

Mane and Robertson being doubtful will be concerning news, although Liverpool should have enough about them to get the three points against a side that has been struggling to find any sort of form recently.
