The Southampton midfielder is currently in Brazil representing Roy Hodgson’s England side.
But according to Metro, Liverpool are reportedly readying a final £26 million bid to tempt the south coast outfit as they look to grab their man.
The Reds have already witnessed bids of £20 million and £23 million be rejected this summer and already have a list of alternatives should the Saints decline their third approach.
The list includes Switzerland star Xherdan Shaqiri and Schalke’s young German starlet Max Meyer but Brendan Rodgers is still confident they can grab their man.
It is thought that Southampton have given up hope of keeping Lallana at the club but have so far been unhappy with Liverpool’s structuring of any proposed agreement.
