Liverpool to replace Mignolet with £125,000-a-week earner?

Brendan Rodgers' sides usually improve after Christmas Liverpool fans appreciate Brendan Rodgers’ desperation to replace Simon Mignolet in the Football Transfer Tavern as Metro reveal that the Reds are willing to offer Fiorentina keeper Neto a huge £125,000-a-week deal.

Last night Mignolet once again put in a shaky display against Leicester City as he misplaced a pass straight into Esteban Cambiasso’s path but fortunately for him, the Argentine midfielder missed the open goal from distance.

This served as another reminder to the Anfield faithful just how important it is that they bring in a world class keeper to stand a chance of consistently challenging for Champions League qualification.

It is now clear that Neto has emerged as a key target for the Reds in the January transfer window and it is reported that they are offering him an astonishing £125,000-a-week contract to play for Liverpool.

Roma are also fishing around the market for a keeper and they are interested in the Brazilian stopper but Liverpool’s offer – if  true – will blow the Giallorossi out of the water.

The reason why Liverpool are able to offer a contract without a fee is because Neto’s contract expires at the end of the season and after rejecting an extension with the Viola, he looks certain to leave the Stadio Artemi Franchi.

Liverpool fans. Mignolet has received a lot of stick of late. Is this over the top or fully justified? Lets us know your thoughts below.
