Liverpool fans have heard news of another potential new arrival here in the Football Transfer Tavern courtesy of sources at the Daily Mirror.
Brendan Rodgers looks set to splash some of that Suarez cash on a new striker and is keen to complete an £8 million move for QPR striker Loic Remy.
The Reds now look the favourites to complete a deal for the France international after Tottenham pulled out of the race and Arsenal cooled their interest.
Rodgers is willing to meet the £8 million buy-out-clause in the striker’s contract but has told Remy he will need to lower his wage demands if he wants to secure a dream move to Anfield.
The French forward is set to be demanding between £80,000 and £90,000-a-week with the Reds reluctant to offer such a figure to a player who would be second choice striker behind Daniel Sturridge.
Remy scored 14 Premier League goals during a loan spell with Newcastle United last season and is one of the options Rodgers is considering as he looks to cover the goals provided by Suarez last season.
Liverpool have also been linked with Lille striker Divock Origi and Swansea City forward Wilfried Bony.
