Liverpool to solve forward issues with HUGE £31.2m swoop?

Gonzalo HiguainLiverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking up at our landlord and asking to know what Metro are saying.

After hearing they have news of a possible £31.2 million bid from the Reds, we cannot blame them.

According to the publication, Brendan Rodgers is putting together a massive bid to swoop for Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain in January after finding his forward line are lacking in front of goal this season after losing Luis Saurez.

As our regulars note, you never really know what you will get with Mario Balotelli and we think that moving for Pipita – who is now proven in both La Liga with Real Madrid and also Serie A with Napoli – would be a good move.

Of course former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez might put up a fight over losing his star front man, whose partnership with Jose Callejon has become one of the highlights of Napoli’s play.

Then again as our regulars note, the Reds have been linked with Callejon before and could make it a double swoop!

Liverpool fans. Do you think Higuain could be the man to fire you into the top four and give you a title to boot? Let us know your thoughts below.
