Liverpool fans are looking slightly worried here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they are sat worrying about the potential sanctions over Luis Suarez and his shall we say rather naughty behaviour yet the Daily Mail have gone some way to cheer the club up.
It seems that Liverpool could well be in line to land Loic Remy who of course is currently a Queens Park Rangers player yet will almost certainly trigger the release clause in his contract when the club eventually go down – mathematically that is and Brendan Rodgers is in prime position to land the forward.
Remy of course is on more than generous wages at the club and despite putting in some decent and committed performances at the struggling side would look for a way out in the summer and may well have found it with Liverpool. The club are willing to put an £8 million bid in for the player and feel that they can beat Arsenal and Newcastle United to the post for the 26-year-old.
The club will of course be looking for a way to abate the latest scandal that has been caused by their star Uruguayan forward and this seems like the ideal way to do that.
Are Liverpool the team that will trigger Remy’s release clause? Rate this rumour below.
