Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are not shocked that this tricky winger’s manager is trying play down this rumour after the Daily Mirror revealed that Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has issued a hands off warning to the Reds regarding Yannick Bolasie.
The Palace manager recently slapped an astonishing £40m price tag on the Democratic Republic of Congo international.
And Pardew insists that the wideman will not be a finished product for at least another season and he will not be ready for a big move to a top six club.
Bolasie, 25, has blossomed in the Premier League this season and has caught they eye of everyone in the Tavern this season with his tricks and skills, especially after he pulled off a unique trick against Dejan Lovren last weekend.
Pardew is keen to hold on to his forward for at least another season and it seems as though he wants to coach him and prepare him for a move to a huge club, like Liverpool.
Pardew said: “He needs to find the end product. We might have more of a problem at the end of next year if he starts finding the net because that has really been the thorn in his side – his actual goals.
“This season, it would probably be a mistake for a top club to get him because I don’t think he is ready. But he will be – maybe in a year or so, when he’s got that final hurdle. He’s a fantastic talent.”
