Liverpool: Tony Cascarino pays huge compliment to Reds with ‘adventurous’ comparison

Liverpool have been paid one of the highest compliments imaginable by former Ireland star Tony Cascarino.
Cascarino pays huge compliment
The Reds extended their advantage at the top of the Premier League at the weekend after their 7-0 victory against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Braces from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah helped Jurgen Klopp’s side on their way, with goals from Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson adding to the tally in South London.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Cascarino compared Klopp’s Liverpool to Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United that dominated England’s top-flight for so long.
“Look, they’re champions,” he said. “They are a very very good, exciting team and you might say that this is a love-in for Liverpool. I think they’ve shown, over the last few years under Klopp, how brilliant a style they’ve got.
“They’re prepared to be brave. When I played against Manchester United, going back to the 80s and the early 90s, one thing you knew about Manchester United was how brave their style was.
👏 “They’ve showed how brilliant a style they’ve got under Klopp.”
💪 “When I played against #MUFC, you knew how brave they were…”

“They were coming from everywhere, adventurous, made it hard for you, battled with you – it’s what Liverpool are doing.
“They don’t have any respect for where they’re playing you. They’ll come to your own back yard and play you off the field, they’ll outrun you and fight you for every ball. I can remember Man United being like that week in, week out. You just knew that they’d give you nothing.”
Transfer Tavern Verdict
This is high praise indeed. Sir Alex’s United team are still the most successful in recent history and to be compared to that status is something that should delight Reds’ supporters.
Despite their huge injury setbacks this season, Liverpool are still exactly where they need to be, which is down to their quality, character and sheer will to win football matches.
Quite simply, it will be a seismic achievement if Liverpool can retain their title this season and Cascarino seemingly thinks they’re on their way to doing exactly that.
