Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking towards the Champions League final with Real Madrid, however, a number of the locals will also be interested with who the side decide to sign in the summer.
One player that the club are interested in is Olympique de Lyonnais’ Nabil Fekir, but it is believed a deal is not on the card’s at the moment, with ESPN FC claiming that the Anfield outfit are yet to make an approach for him.
It had been reported earlier in the day by French media that the two sides had agreed to a deal for the 24-year-old, but both sides have denied knowledge of such a conversation, whilst Jurgen Klopp was none-the-wiser following their defeat to Chelsea.
“During the game we agreed a deal?!” he was quoted as saying by ESPN FC.
“I would be surprised about that, to be honest. No comment.”
The France international has impressed many across Europe during his time at Lyon, making 150 appearances and scoring 56 goals, however, it is expected the captain could move in the near future.
As you can imagine, the Reds in our bar are hoping the club do make a move for one of the best forwards in Europe as they attempt to win their first Premier League title next season.
The Liverpool fans in the Tavern would be excited by the prospect of Fekir joining them in the future, however, a deal does not seem likely at the moment and the punters will not concern themselves until something official is reported.
