Liverpool transfer target would rather join Real Madrid

Radamel Falcao (Monaco)Here in the Football Transfer Tavern, Metro seems to think that there will be a case of striker musical chairs this summer with Liverpool and Real Madrid heading it up.

They seem to think that Radamel Falcao only wants to leave Monaco for Real Madrid, despite being lined up as a replacement for Luis Suarez, who may be set to a move to none other than Real Madrid.

The Champions League winners have been on the hunt for a forward and are keen on landing Suarez but are still heavily liked with Monaco star Falcao.

As our landlord points out whilst pouring another round of pints, they will only be able to afford one of them.

Another point he makes is the fact that Falcao would be a great addition to Brendan Rodgers’ squad and would certainly light a fire or two in the Premier League should he get the chance.

Twenty-eight-year-old Falcao would cost a fair deal of cash and would take some persuading but we think that Rodgers might just be able to do that.

Liverpool fans. Would you like Rodgers to land Falcao even if it did mean losing Suarez? Let us know your thoughts below.
