Since joining the club from Championship side Watford back in 2007, Young has established himself and one of the best young player in English football, a tag which is no doubt of keen interest to a number of clubs as they look to add the 25 year old to their respective squads. The England international has recently stalled on agreeing a new deal at the Midlands club, keeping his options open as to a potential big money move to one of the Premier League’s elite.
While Liverpool and Manchester United seem to be low on funds for any substantial transfer bids at present due to a number of debts gained by the clubs, a new owner at the Anfield club and a new lease of ambition at Old Trafford will see money become available to improve their squads as both rival clubs look to place themselves firmly back at the top of the Premier League.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has shown a lot of interest in the Aston Villa man over the last couple of seasons and despite making a big money deal for Dutch star Rafael Van Der Vaart, who joined the club from Real Madrid back in the summer, the 63 year old is ready to once again reignite his interest from Young as he looks to build a squad at White Hart Lane that will not only break into the top four on a regular basis, but challenge for the title.
With such interest in the winger and a proven ability to perform at the highest level, Young is sure to command a hefty transfer free. However, if the former Watford youngster can put in the kind of performances that have made him a firm fan favourite in the eyes of the Villa Park faithful, it will be money well spend for any club as his signature will only help but elevate a side to the next level of competition.
