Liverpool will be forced to pay flop to play elsewhere next season

Christian BentekeIt’s been a rollercoaster ride for Liverpool and the fans we know have been through it all in the Transfer Tavern, with a wealth of emotions- most of which have been after poor results.

Well, they’ve got a new reason to start the waterworks now as The Daily Mirror state Liverpool will be forced to continuing paying mega-flop Christian Benteke next season even if he leaves Anfield.

After arriving for £32.5m last summer, as the second-most expensive signing in the club’s history, Benteke has failed to catch the eye and he’s now started just three of Liverpool’s last 16 matches across all competitions.

Having rejected a big-money move to China, as he seeks to redeem himself in the eyes of Premier League supporters, Liverpool may have to subsidise some of his massive £120k-a-week wages next season.

There is interest in the Belgian international, who’s at risk of missing out on a spot for the European Championships due to his poor form, with West Ham amongst those chasing his signature.

One thing is for sure though, Liverpool will have to accept a loss on another transfer disappointment.
