This is after talkSPORT revealed how West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster has admitted that if a bid in region of £25-30 million came in for Saido Berahino then the young forward would certainly be on his way out.
This news will undoubtedly cause a stir at The Hawthorns after Berahino seemingly got his head down following some controversial comments in a recent interview.
Berahino, who has scored 10 league goals this term, said last week that he was looking to move onto “bigger things” once he had done his bit to keep the Baggies up in the Premier League.
But now that Tony Pulis has made the youngster ponder his actions, he has come to the fore and in doing so he has reminded potential suitors that he could well be worth a punt despite his bad boy reputation.
Our resident Baggies fans wonder if all of Pulis’ good managerial work all about to go down the pan now that his ever-reliant number one Foster has added more fuel to the fire, speculating over the 21-year-old’s future.
“Without doubt I do (want him to stay) but I completely understand if a team is going to come in with a £25-30million bid, there’s not a lot you are going to do about that,” said Foster.
“As long as he keeps working his socks off and doing the business for us, I don’t think anyone would begrudge him a big move like that.
“It is only going to benefit the club, a lot more money for us to invest into other players as well.”
