Liverpool fans are looking up in confusion at the latest claim from Metro.
Our landlord here in the Football Transfer Tavern tells us that the publication notes Marco Reus is not a target of Brendan Rodgers, despite reports to the contrary.
The publication claims that the Reds are not keen on the Borussia Dortmund star – despite almost daily reports stating they are keen on the German superstar.
Brendan Rodgers has made it very clear that a move for the former Borussia Monchengladbach player is not on the cards.
As one of our punters notes over a pint, the Reds now have the £75 million Luis Suarez fund to spend and as Rodgers has claimed, it will be reinvested into the squad meaning that a fair few new arrivals will be coming to Merseyside soon.
One of our punters even quips that it is a shame Reus isn’t a target for the club. After all, it might leave Southampton with some players!
Liverpool fans. Do you think the club should be targeting Reus or is Rodgers right to stay away from the player at the moment? Let us know your thoughts below.
