2 reasons why David Luiz would be a good signing for Liverpool after Chelsea exile

Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are excited about the prospect of welcoming some fresh legs in for the January transfer window.

As ‘You’ll never walk alone’ rings around Anfield, fans are in jubilation after an emphatic 4-1 win over The Hammers. Having battered Slovenian side Maribor midweek, they decided to dish out yet another as a rampant Liverpool attack tore apart the London based side.

After a lacklustre run of form in the Premier League of late, this is exactly the response the Reds needed. After the disappointing thrashing at the hands of Tottenham, Liverpool have responded in fine voice as they look to chase European football for next season. However, as they top their group in the Champions League, they can’t be banking on getting in via winning it as this seems so very unlikely.

A central defender is something that’s been missing this season at Anfield, as criticism is forever being thrown around at Klopp and his failure to have signed a central defender in the summer months. But perhaps we could have found the solution to their worries, Brazilian David Luiz is currently out of favour at Chelsea and has the Premier League pedigree.

Having been pushed out of a back 3 with the signing of Rudiger, the Brazilian will be looking for some consistent game time. With Liverpool in the central defender crisis that they’re in, it wouldn’t actually be too bad of a coup.

Here’s a look at 2 reasons as to why David Luiz would be a good signing for Chelsea…
