The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been absolutely delighted about the nature of their pre-season thus far.
Indeed, the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino have all impressed over the course of the summer break thus far and our resident Reds are thrilled about the form of Jurgen Klopp’s fluid attack.
Still, last night’s 3-0 trouncing over Bayern Munich was not all a cause for celebration.
Daniel Sturridge limped off just before the end after notching a wonderful third, worrying our local Kopites no end. While the England international’s injury problems have been widely discussed over the last few years, though our Liverpool-mad punters have been delighted with his attitude during the preparation for next season.
So, the sight of seeing him injured again was an unwelcome one. However, speaking to the club’s official Twitter account, the striker allayed fears and put his ailment down to fatigue.
“I’m feeling great.” @DanielSturridge leaves the Allianz Arena in high spirits.
