In their defeat to Leicester City in the EFL Cup, our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern once again welcomed back Danny Ings to the first team.
After another injury lay-off, Ings is back on the comeback trail once more hoping he can finally get his Liverpool career off and running.
He’s played a total of six league matches since joining from Burnley back in 2015, scoring twice, not all that bad a record.
Still, some of our pub regulars think it’s time to go and let the one capped England international leave, others argue the case that the Reds haven’t seen the real Danny Ings as of yet.
Having spent time and money investing in getting him back to full fitness twice despite reoccurring knee injuries, the lad deserves a run in the team.
However, our glass collector mutters it’s only a matter of time before Klopp becomes tired of waiting.
