Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have expressed their concerns about their ability to sign a long-term target, after hearing they face competition for his signature.
The Daily Star states Borussia Monchengladbach ace Mahmoud Dahoud is a key-target for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who has accepted he will have to wait until the summer to land a move for the youngster.
21-year-old Dahoud has risen in the eyes of Europe’s giants with decent performances for his current employers and French outlet FootMercato state Barcelona have joined the hunt for the young midfielder’s signature.
The Spanish giants would prefer to land Maxime Lopez from Marseille but have identified Dahoud as an alternative to the Ligue 1 man, which scuppers the long-term plans of Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp.
However, our landlord feels Liverpool man have an advantage though as he believes Dahoud would get more first-team opportunities on Merseyside than he would in Catalonia, due to the squad depth that Luis Enrique’s side boast.
Will Dahoud be a Liverpool player next season? Let us know in the comments below!
