With the season now over, the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern can now tuck into all sorts of rumours and reports.
Ahead of the annual ‘silly season’ that is the summer transfer window, a club as big as the Reds is always likely to dominate back pages and internet sites when it comes to potential arrivals and departures.
Indeed, today has proved no different following reports from the Liverpool Echo. They’ve revealed the Anfield giants have snubbed an enquiry from Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic for youngster Harry Wilson.
The Welshman has proved clinical for Liverpool’s U23 side this season, notching 28 goals from a wide attacking berth and the resident Reds in the Tavern are eager to see him given a chance next term.
With the Kop giants boasting such a proud tradition in developing their very own talent, they’re delighted to see the reported enquiry snubbed by Jurgen Klopp.
That being said, here’s a look at how Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter.
Harry Wilson needs a run in this #lfc after the season he had for the youth setup. Why spend 30-40m on someone who is the same level as him

Then use him! the lads scored 30 odd goals and he's not even a striker

Harry Wilson not going anywhere. 30-odd goals from the wing for the under-23’s is a crazy total at any age group. Big talent. #LFC

Hope to see Harry Wilson in the first team fold next season #LFC
Glad we rejected the Harry Wilson bid. #LFC
