‘Can’t wait until he scores’ – Liverpool fans on Twitter absolutely adore 24-year-old

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been showering their Scottish left-back Andrew Robertson in praise after another impressive performance on Saturday. Liverpool ran out 3-0 winners against Bournemouth, although the fans have stumbled upon a clip of Robertson after he fluffed a late shot and heard the fans start singing his name.

As the 24-year-old started making his way back to his own half following his dreadful effort on goal, the camera pans to his face as the fans started to sing his name and the reaction to hearing the fans appreciation of him looked to mean a lot to the Scot. Robertson signed for Liverpool in the summer from Hull following their relegation last season and it took him a while to secure a spot in the first-team, owing to Alberto Moreno’s impressive early season form.

Jurgen Klopp has made the left-back one of the first names on the teamsheet as his emergence to the first team, added to the signing of Virgil Van Dijk and the form of Loris Karius, has made Liverpool’s backline one of the strongest in the league at the moment. The Reds have been trying to kick the defensive mishaps that have given them a reputation a poor reputation over the last few seasons. Liverpool now look like a complete side and if they can keep up their style of play then they have every chance of going on to claim the Champions League crown at the end of the season.
