Club director: This Liverpool deal could happen on one condition

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting a very big summer of transfer activity under Jurgen Klopp.

With the Reds looking likely to finish in the top four next season, the Kopites propping up the bar believe big business is in order to whip the Reds into shape.

So, transfer news from quotes sourced in German outlet Kicker (via ESPN) have sparked interest today. Though it’s not to do with potential incomings, a talented Liverpool youngster is of interest to another club it seems.

Brazilian midfielder Allan, who has spent the season on loan at Hertha Berlin is reportedly of interest to the Bundesliga outfit again.

Unable to make his debut for the Merseyside giants yet because he’s not made the requirements for a work permit, Hertha’s sporting executive Michael Preetz has revealed they hope to keep the 20-year-old.

However, their hopes seem to hinge on qualifying for the Europa League, with Liverpool understood to want to see the player develop at that level.

“We’ve lodged our wish to loan Allan for another year with Liverpool,” Preetz told Kicker.

“Principally, the English are up for it, but they would like us to be a guaranteed starter in the group stages of Europa League.”

Should their results go their way on the final day of the season, Hertha could do so indeed.

Though our local Liverpool fans don’t know too much about the man, they hope Allan is allowed to develop at a high level.
