The Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern haven’t stopped celebrating since their win over Manchester City at the Etihad last night and our resident Reds certainly show no signs of letting up just yet. As you can imagine, with the Champions League final in sight, our local Liverpudlians cannot stop dancing on the pool tables.
While the first leg was marred by the coach incident, many our local Citizens have conceded that the better side went through in the end and one of Pep Guardiola’s men in particular has taken to Twitter to congratulate the Anfield giants on their victory.
Indeed, Ilkay Gundogan wished Liverpool luck in the semi-finals after beating his side 2-1 last night. The German worked under Reds chief Jurgen Klopp whilst playing for Borussia Dortmund and was even linked with a reunion upon Klopp’s appointment on Merseyside, though ultimately moved to join Guardiola’s revolution.

After his message of support for Liverpool, the 27-year-old was inundated with classy words back from Reds fans, as well as some even calling for him to join his former boss in the North West’s other great footballing city. With that in mind, here’s a closer look at the reaction.
