Confirmed: Liverpool announce Spanish midfielder deal

Big name signings may grab the attention of the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern like no other, though the Reds who popped in after leaving work early have been treated to a transfer tidbit.

With the Jurgen Klopp overhaul well underway, the Merseyside giants have confirmed that Spanish midfielder Sergi Canos has joined Norwich City in a deal thought to be worth around £2.5m

Despite impressing on loan at Brentford last term and earning a first-team call up under the German coach, the 19-year old has been sold to the Canaries as they plot an immediate return to the Premier League themselves.

Championship rivals Bristol City were also understood to be keen on the talented ace, though he will now link up with Alex Neil in East Anglia.

A former Barcelona youth player, the Spaniard was unable to truly impose himself on first-team proceedings on Merseyside, he moves to Carrow Road on a four-year deal.

Should Klopp have given Canos a fairer crack of the whip? Let us know below…
