Contact expected and Liverpool offer likely for expensive Klopp target this summer

The signing of Mo Salah has certainly impressed the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern and then some, who are seriously excited about next season already.

While Jurgen Klopp’s side still has some rather obvious deficiencies, their work already in the market has our resident Reds talking up a more successful season next time around, with reports from the Times only doing more to light the fires of optimism.

Indeed, they claim the Anfield giants are ‘likely’ to offer a structured bid of around £70m – including add-ons and the like – for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita this summer.

The 22-year-old is reportedly valued at such a fee by the Bundesliga outfit after a stunning campaign and the Reds are understood to know there is little point in making a bid below that price.

Contact between the two clubs is reportedly expected and Keita is understood be heading for talks with the hierarchy in Leipzig over his future.

With Jordan Henderson suffering injury problems last season, the idea of seeing the Guniea international arrive on Merseyside is a hugely exciting one for our punters and Klopp himself is said to want their interest to be ramped up.

Much like N’Golo Kante at Chelsea, the Bundesliga sensation could be a revolutionary presence in their engine room.
