Philippe Coutinho has not had the best of times of it since making the switch to Barcelona from Liverpool in January 2018.
The Brazil international was a star at Anfield, scoring 20 goals and providing 13 assists in his last 45 league matches, but it was pretty clear that he wanted to make the move to Spain – he even handed in a transfer request six months before he eventually got his switch.
However, after scoring 21 times in 76 matches at the Camp Nou, he was shipped out on loan to Bayern Munich. Whilst the Bundesliga champions had the option to sign him permanently, it looks as though they will not take that option up (Bild via Soccer News).
Now, The Evening Standard has said that the former Internazionale man may be of interest to Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Chelsea. Barcelona are said to be ready to accept bids of around €80m (£70.5m), with the Blues seeing him as a cheaper alternative to Jadon Sancho.
The Empire of the Kop Twitter page has asked their followers whether they would mind seeing him feature for the Stamford Bridge outfit, and Reds supporters have been reacting in their droves. You can see some of the best comments bel0w.

I could not care less about Coutinho to be honest. He made his bed, now he had to lay in it.

Not at all. He did a good job for us but had his head turned. His career won’t recover.
