Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been treated to some good news whilst having breakfast in the bar this morning, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is closing in on yet another signing this summer.
According to reports from the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are closing in on the signing of FC Ausburg defender, Ragnar Klavan.
The 30-year-old featured in both Europa League ties when the Reds faced the German outfit, and clearly impressed former Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp.
The centre-half is a three time winner of Estonian Player of the Year, with just over 100 appearances for his national side, and should make the move to Anfield for a fee of £4.2m.
Signing another centre back has been a priority this summer with Joe Gomez injured and French defender, Mamadou Sakho sidelined due to a drugs ban.
The former AZ Alkmaar man was a mainstay in the Bundesliga last season, making 31 appearances.
