Liverpool: Fans think El-Hadji Diouf is their worst ever signing

Liverpool have made several bad signings down the years.
The first ones that come to mind are the likes of Andy Carroll and Alberto Aquilani, both of whom failed to make the grade at Anfield after signing for fees of at least £20m each. Others such as Bruno Cheyrou and Milan Jovanovic also struggled to adapt to the Premier League.
One player whose attitude as well as his performances were disappointing is El Hadji-Diouf. He was signed after an impressive World Cup campaign, in which he provided three assists as Senegal made the quarter-finals, but he managed just six goals in 80 matches and was also caught up in many scandals, such as when he spat at a Celtic fan in 2003.
Many of the club’s supporters believe that he is their worst signing in the Premier League era judging by their responses to a question asked by the Empire of the Kop Twitter page – one fan even called him the biggest mistake they have made in the transfer market. Diouf. Signing him instead of Anelka has to be the biggest mistakes we’ve made in the transfer market
