It’s certainly been a long couple nights of regret for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern, who’ve been arguing about what exactly is wrong with the Reds as they watch their season crumble before their eyes.
Despite thrilling the Premier League as a whole at times this term, the Merseyside titans have struggled since the turn of the year, with Daniel Sturridge’s performance against Southampton in the EFL Cup semi-final particularly lamented.
Many of our Kopites in the bar believe the 27-year-old is coming to the end of his time at Anfield and a few question his attitude, though there have been interesting reports from the Sun in regards to the England international.
They’ve revealed the forward SNUBBED a huge money move to China over the course of the summer so he could prove he’s still the main man at the club he joined back in 2013, despite the fact his attitude has often been called into question.
The Chinese Super League are able to offer lucrative wages, even more than Premier League players are likely to earn on these shores, though the notion of him moving to the Far East was reportedly quickly dismissed by Sturridge.
Though he’s got some to way to go in terms of convincing the Liverpool fans in the Tavern, these reports are at least promising as he tries to rediscover his best form.
