Exciting £9m-rated forward would make a good addition for Liverpool despite current riches

Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly awaiting the summer with their huge spending set to continue. Virgil Van Dijk was brought in this January for £75m and the Reds are looking to add to Naby Keita, who has already agreed to sign this summer.

Jurgen Klopp seems to have found his rhythm and consequently, the Reds have been in fine form with the season nearing it’s conclusion. Although they couldn’t get near the champions-to-be, Man City, Liverpool this season have improved massively with next year looking very optimistic indeed.

One player that could be added to their ranks this summer is Valencia’s tricky forward Santi Mina, valued at £9.00m according to Transfermarkt. This season, the 22-year-old has added goals to his game. Having scored 14 goals in all competitions so far, that is the same as he managed in the two previous campaigns combined.

Santi Mina is capable of playing left wing, right wing but preferably straight through the middle as a centre-forward. The Spaniard would provide excellent competition and back-up for Liverpool’s front three, who have been unstoppable at times this season. Under the watchful eye of Jurgen Klopp, our fans are sure that Mina could elevate his game to the next level if he came to England.

Landlords verdict:

Santi Mina is a relatively new name to fans around football but one which feels exciting. Having performed very well for Spanish high-flyers Valencia, Liverpool could steal him away at the right time in order to transform him into a superstar. With Liverpool’s front three to learn from, we certainly feel that Santi Mina would be a good acquisition for Liverpool as they look to build ever stronger ahead of next season.

Thoughts Liverpool fans – Is Mina worth the risk?
