Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping their fortunes turn around ASAP, whilst Micky Quinn has tipped the club for a busy summer on Talksport.
Coming into 2017 the Reds were hopeful of a serious title challenge and at least one trophy with an EFL Cup semi-final against Southampton to look forward to.
Wind forward to now, though, and the Reds evidently need more players as the last few weeks have torn their season apart.
Indeed, Quinn thinks the club will act in light of what’s gone on recently and our landlord reckons the ex-striker could be spot on with his assumptions.
“What I know is that [Daniel] Sturridge could be on his way, [Simon] Mignolet could be on his way and in could come Joe Hart.
“The owners are also promising a lot of money to go and buy five to six high-profile players – read into that what you want.”
If Quinn is right, then, things could be about to get very exciting for the Reds over the coming months as they look to build a bigger squad.
They’ll be hoping they can finish in the top four to help bolster their chances of signing players, too, and our landlord reckons now they’re only in the Premier League for the rest of the season they do still have a chance.
