Liverpool have been one of the dominant forces in the Premier League so far this season, with an elusive trophy not too far away under Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds secured a bore draw against Manchester City prior to the international break in a match that saw Liverpool narrowly escape defeat in the dying embers.
However, Liverpool will travel to the John Smith’s Stadium to face David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town in their next Premier League encounter.
Indeed, this will be a key game for a couple of the club’s first team members, with a disappointing showing possibly causing for them to be axed and frozen out of the side.
With that in mind, here’s a look at TWO players that could face axing if they don’t put in a huge performance…
The Brazilian hasn’t been blessed with many chances on the field for the Reds this season, despite putting in accomplished performances on international duty.
Indeed, the likes of James Milner, Georginio Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson have all cemented their place in the side, so it’s vital that Fabinho makes the most of a potential opportunity against the Terriers, with Jurgen Klopp possibly looking to rest some of his normal starters.
Dejan Lovren has only just come back into the side after taking his national side to the World Cup final, but he will find it difficult to enjoy a regular place with Joe Gomez performing magnificently alongside Virgil Van Dijk.
However, Jurgen Klopp could look to change things around and provide the less fortunate players with a chance against a struggling Huddersfield Town side, so it’s vital that Lovren makes the most of any potential opportunity as he could be frozen out if he makes any mistakes.Like what the TT have on offer?
