It’s been a manic night amongst the Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern ever since their beloved Reds’ sensational win over Manchester City at Anfield merely a few hours ago and our bar has been full of delighted Scousers.
With Jurgen Klopp leading his side to a famous win over Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions-elect, our local Liverpudlians are citing yesterday as the best day of their campaign thus far. However, Sunday 14th January wasn’t all good news for those on Merseyside.
Earlier in the day, Bundesliga side RB Leipzig had taken to Twitter to confirm their stance on the Naby Keita saga. The midfielder will be moving to Anfield in the summer, though recent reports had suggested Liverpool were keen on pushing a deal ahead this month, following the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
OFFICIAL: Naby #Keïta will remain an #RBLeipzig player until 30th June 2018. We wish to put the speculation about a January move to @LFC to bed. pic.twitter.com/Cilx09m24e

Still, the German outfit confirmed the Gabonese star would remain with them for the remainder campaign, much to the annoyance of our resident Reds. So, having said that, here’s a closer look at the reaction online.
This also goes to show that we did not have enough planned before the Couthino's sale. Just hope the in house covers live up to expectations and we do not regret the decision.
