Liverpool will be hopeful that they can fend off the advances of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur from here on in until the end of the season, with the Premier League title in their sights.
The Reds have wobbled a bit in recent times as they suffered defeat at the hands of Man City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, which certainly won’t have helped their confidence.
But, with the January transfer window now here, perhaps Jurgen Klopp will have his sights set on securing a couple of quality signings with the help of FSG. Sadly, the Reds have been weak at the heart of the defence without Joe Gomez in their ranks and could do with bringing in another attacker, with the title race firmly in their hands.
Therefore, Klopp can start preparing for title celebrations if FSG secure these TWO transfers this month…
James Tarkowski has established himself as one of the best central defenders in the Premier League over the past season or so at Burnley, with defensive solidity always being ensured at the heart of the defence.
Sadly, Dejan Lovren has been very error-prone in recent weeks and is often seen as a liability by supporters, so it’s vital that Liverpool look to bring in another central defender to iron over the Croatian’s issues.
Tarkowski is the perfect signing as he still has plenty of potential and has already shown that he can handle some of the best attackers in the top-flight and on the international stage. His pace, strength and aerial ability makes him almost impossible to get past, so the Reds’ defence could become unbreachable if he partners Virgil Van Dijk.
Timo Werner has been prolific at current club RB Leipzig over the past couple of seasons, and it’s safe to say that he’s enjoying yet another successful campaign at this moment in time, with 13 goals in 21 appearances.
The German international is still at the start of his football career at the age of 22, so he could develop into the world’s best attackers as he already has all the ingredients.
Therefore, the Reds can soon start planning for Premier League title celebrations if Werner makes his way to Anfield, as he would take their already dominant attack to the next level, with a consistent flow of goals being guaranteed.
