Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are growing fond of the performances being produced by their academy teams, with the future looking bright at Anfield.
The Reds have fallen out of love with manager Jurgen Klopp at times during his tenure, but they cannot deny the impressive legacy that the German has now built on Merseyside. Although, an underlying factor that continues to haunt our local residents here in the Tavern is Klopp’s decision-making, an issue that’s caused frustration during his time at Anfield.
Indeed, after all the controversy surrounding their current boss at times throughout this season, a couple of our regular Liverpudlians have been purring at the thought of unveiling Kop legend Steven Gerrard as the club’s new first-team manager. And, it’s fair to say that his managerial ability is bordering on a similar level to the class he displayed on the pitch, as his Under-19 side continues to pull off magnificent results both domestically and in Europe.
Encouragingly, the future looks bright for Liverpool Football club with their latest achievement being a 2-0 victory over bitter rivals Manchester United in the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals, a scoreline that was brought to the attention of Reds fans via Liverpool’s Twitter account.

Following the club’s post, fans were quick to praise the efforts of Steven Gerrard, and looked to dismiss the thought of a future with Jurgen Klopp in charge.
So without further ado, here’s a look at exactly the sort of reaction being given off by supporters on social media…
