Guardiola line up audacious Man City raid on Liverpool’s £29m brilliant Brazilian

Silly season is well and truly upon us. Though Euro 2016 is clicking into gear, the punters in the Transfer Tavern simply cannot be stopped when it comes to scouring the net for rumours and reports.

One of the more audacious rumours has come from Tribal Football journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, who claims Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is keen on Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino.

After a difficult start to life on Merseyside following his £29m move from Hoffenheim, the Brazilian international hit good form for the Reds, notching 11 goals and recording a further 9 assists across all competitions.

With the incoming Citizens coach having managed Bayern Munich for three years, the Spaniard will be well aware of the 24-year old’s talent from his time in the Bundesliga.

He has already landed Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund as he plots a blockbuster overhaul at the Etihad Stadium upon his seismic arrival in the Premier League.

How many signings does Guardiola need to make to win City the league?
