The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to their club’s latest update on the injury situation among the squad. The club tweeted the news, with a link to the Liverpool website, that both Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren will be fit for Saturday’s early kick-off whilst Nathaniel Clyne, unfortunately, won’t be available after suffering a muscle issue after training.

Having both Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren back in the fold for the West Brom trip is a huge boost for Jurgen Klopp as it bolsters his defensive options and provides the German tactician with the chance to rotate ahead of their Champions League semi-final first leg against Roma at Anfield on Tuesday evening. The Reds will be prioritising the Champions League and could well rest a number of key players at The Hawthorns tomorrow.
Jurgen Klopp’s side has pretty much guaranteed that they’ll be playing Champions League football next season, the club are seven points clear of 5th-placed Chelsea with just 12 points left to play for. For the Kopites, the biggest games of the season are just around the corner, after beating Manchester City 5-1 on aggregate in their Champions League quarter-final, they’ve been drawn against Roma in the last four, who superbly fought back to knock-out Barcelona in the last round.

Can anyone predict who might replace Lovren in the champions league if he is still injured? Its a shame as he played well in their match against City.
