It’s pretty fair to say that Sadio Mane has had quite the impact on Liverpool since joining the club from Southampton over the course of the summer, much to the delight of the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern.
Amazing to think really that eyebrows were initially raised when the Reds initially moved for the searing Senegalese, with some believing he was far too expensive a signing. Still, he’s offered a wonderfully direct outlet to the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino and his return from the African Cup of Nations is a monumental boost for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
His presence in their frontline gives the Merseyside titans a completely different dimension, making him one of their most important players already. In fact, the 24-year-old has had a wonderful start to his career at Anfield, more so than a complete legend.

As the stats above show, the former Red Bull Salzburg ace has a BETTER record in terms of goals and assists after the opening 21 league games of his career at the club than a certain Luis Suarez.
Not bad going at all.
