Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly hoping for a strong finish to their campaign with Champions League football tantalisingly close.
The Reds have certainly been strong this season and a finish in the top four would be the best possible icing on this season’s cake.
Failure to do so, though, would really leave a sour taste in the mouth and so it is up to Jurgen Klopp’s men to ensure no slip-ups happen – starting with Crystal Palace this weekend.
The Reds, though, have been handed an early potential blow for that game with Klopp saying that three of their players could be out injured for the fixture – as quoted by James Pearce on Twitter:
Klopp: “Not 100% that Matip/Lucas/Klavan will be out but they are not training in this moment.”
— James Pearce (@JamesPearceEcho) 20 April 2017
Of course, this is far from a slam dunk at the moment but the men from Merseyside would surely like to have at least one of them fit for the weekend – especially given they are all potential centre-half options.
Some thinking for Klopp to do, then, ahead of Sunday’s fixture.
