Liverpool know they’re still in control of their own destiny as the race for the title heats up again.
The Reds lead Manchester City by four points in the Premier League and given how well they have been playing this season, they will still feel confident about seeing the league through despite losing against their title rivals.
New signings could prove very helpful in their search for supremacy and finding a centre-back could be the specific area on the pitch Liverpool attend to.
The Reds have become used to the likes of Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip being forced away from first-team action through injury so, in their place, they could land talented Bordeaux centre-back Jules Kounde.
Kounde, (who is valued at £8.1 million on Transfermarkt) would certainly be a risky signing considering how big a chance Liverpool have at winning the league but the young defender has shown his immense capabilities this season.
Having played a staggering 30 games already this season, Jules Kounde has made people forget about his age and just focus on the ability he has on the pitch.
He has played 90 minutes in every single game apart from one due to suspension, proving to be available and ready when needed.
Kounde has helped Bordeaux keep 11 clean-sheets within those games as well, proving to be a defensively stable figure at the heart of their back-line.
He has quickly surpassed the 18 league games he managed last season so yes it would be a risk for Liverpool to sign a player who has only really just arrived in the first-team proper.
Yet for his age, he could soon become a far better option for Virgil Van Dijk to partner with, leading Liverpool onwards to bigger and better things.
