Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side have been an attacking juggernaut so far this season, with their scoring talent firing them to the top of the league.
The Reds have averaged just under three goals a game and have failed to score in just two games, with a heroic Tom Heaton performance and Jose Mourinho’s defensive tactics leading to blank scorecards against Burnley and Manchester United.
The goals have mainly come from their front trio – Sadio Mane is the top scorer with six goals, while Brazilians Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino have five each.
Should Southampton – the side with the fifth best defensive record in the league – manage to employ similar tactics to Burnley and Manchester United and stifle Liverpool’s attack they may need to try something different.
Luckily for Klopp, the Reds have attacking talent outside of their first eleven.
