Liverpool fans are eagerly awaiting their next signing after watching business slow down following the arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho.

Jurgen Klopp is yet to make a signing since landing the Brazilian from Monaco back in May for around £43m. Naby Keita’s arrival from RB Leipzig was also made official as the German completes his new-look midfield for next season. Now, the Anfield faithful will be hoping for more signings before the window slams shut.

Klopp has used pre-season to cast a watchful eye over his brightest prospects and will continue to assess his options against Bury and Blackburn. The ex-Borussia Dortmund boss will decide whether to keep the youngsters at Anfield or loan them out. Ovie Ejaria has already departed for Rangers to link up with ex-Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.

One man who faces an uncertain future is Liverpool wonderkid – Ben Woodburn. Valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt, the Welsh international is the biggest talent to come through the Liverpool academy in recent years. However, he played just six minutes of football in the Premier League as a result of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah’s excellent form.

Woodburn needs a loan move. His team-mate, Harry Wilson, was loaned to Hull City and was an instant success, scoring seven goals in the Championship. Woodburn needs to follow in his footsteps and search for regular game time. Sheffield United have just lost David Brooks to Bournemouth and Woodburn would be the perfect replacement.

Liverpool fans, thoughts?
